Dan Rivera, a respected figure in the world of paranormal investigation, passed away unexpectedly while on a national tour featuring one of the most well-known haunted objects in the world — the doll known as Annabelle.

Rivera had been traveling as part of a series of public events showcasing allegedly haunted items from private collections and museums. These events were intended to educate audiences about supernatural phenomena, promote historical awareness, and give people a chance to engage with some of the most storied artifacts in paranormal folklore.

While in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania — a town famously known for its Civil War battlefield and frequent ghost sightings — Rivera was found unresponsive in his hotel room after completing a full day of lectures and meet-and-greets. Emergency medical personnel responded quickly but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not found any signs of foul play, and early indications point to a natural or medical cause of death. An autopsy has been scheduled to confirm the cause, though the circumstances surrounding his passing have naturally stirred discussion within paranormal circles and among his many fans.
