2 tbsp olive oil

For the Creamy Garlic Herb Sauce:

3 tbsp butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

1 tbsp chopped fresh basil (optional)

Juice of ½ lemon

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Season the Chicken
Pat chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Transfer to a plate.

Make the Sauce
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet. When melted, stir in garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.

Add Liquids and Herbs
Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits. Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, Italian seasoning, parsley, and basil.

Simmer
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce thicken slightly, about 3–4 minutes.

Combine
Return chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over the top and simmer another 5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.

Finish
Add lemon juice, adjust seasoning, and remove from heat. Serve warm.
