“I lost all feeling in my arms—and then my legs,” he revealed to Mirror.
“I didn’t say a word. I just pushed through and danced.”
Doctors traced it back to spinal complications from his 2009 Strictly Come Dancing win. Although surgery initially helped, a post-op infection left him temporarily paralyzed. It took grueling rehab, patience, and grit—but Donny eventually recovered and regained mobility.
🎬 A New Hospital Stay, But the Music Plays On
This week, Donny shared a lighthearted clip from his hospital bed, wearing a gown and nasal cannula. Even sedated, he kept his sense of humor.
“When are you going to start singing?” someone asked.
Without missing a beat, Donny broke into the Mulan classic:
“Let’s get down to business…”
“I’m starting to get dizzy,” he joked as the sedation kicked in. A few moments later, he was still softly singing after waking.
He posted the video with a cheerful note:
