Eva, a two-year-old Belgian Malinois, wasn’t just a dog—she was a hero. While hiking by the Trinity River in Northern California with her owner, Erin Wilson, Eva courageously defended her from a mountain lion attack. Without hesitation, Eva leapt between Erin and the predator, risking her life to protect the person she loved most.
Despite the mountain lion’s size and power, Eva fought fiercely. Erin, injured but determined, joined the fight with a tire iron, and nearby drivers helped drive the lion away using pepper spray.
