Filmed since the 2000s
The American public was the first to see Judge Caprio on television in the show Caught in Providence, which began airing on WLNE-TV on October 1, 2000.
In the show, real people who had broken the law, often for parking or traffic violations, were filmed during the hearing presided over by the judge.
Frank Caprio had shared his battle with illness on social media in recent months. Six hours before his death was announced, a final photo of the judge, smiling and with a thumbs-up, was shared on Instagram to thank users for their “prayers,” “love,” and “support” given to the octogenarian during his hospital stay.
