“Judge Frank Caprio passed away peacefully at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer,” his Instagram account read.

“Loved for his compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in human kindness,” the American judge had become a familiar face to internet users. With approximately 200 million views on TikTok and over 100 million on YouTube, he “touched the lives of millions of people through his work in the courtroom and beyond,” his family notes.

“He will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but also as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His legacy lives on through the countless acts of kindness he inspired,” the Caprio family wrote in their public tribute.
